There are provided a communication device, a communication control method, a communication control program, and a computer-readable recording medium containing the communication control program capable of reducing the load on an electric device. An adapter (102) connecting the electric device (106) to an ECHONET network includes: a device object storage unit (131) for storing in advance, object configuration information on the electric device (106) to be connected; an object configuration check unit (122) for checking whether the object configuration information stored in advance in the device object storage unit (131) coincides with the object configuration information acquired from the connected electric device (106); and a network access processing unit (124) for communicably connecting the electric device (106) to the ECHONET network when the object configuration check unit (122) has confirmed that the two object configuration information coincide.
