The mixing device (10) is for a burner tube (20) with a flame tube (30) and containing a jet holder (40), and with a separator (50). The separator is axially adjustable in the combustion tube, and is sealed against the combustion tube by a roughly cylindrical metal guide ring which has its outer jacket surface resting against the inner wall of the burner tube and able to move on it.
