It is possible to surely acquire content data. First processing progress information and second processing progress information are temporarily stored on a recording medium. Content data requested to be acquired and license data (301) are downloaded, temporarily stored on a storage medium, and registered in a database. After this, the first and the second processing progress information are erased. If the first and the second processing progress information are not erased when the interrupted content acquisition processing is resumed, the content data corresponding to the second processing progress information and the license data (301) are erased and the data acquisition is retried. Thus, when retrying the data acquisition, it is possible to eliminate duplicate storage of the content data and the license data (301) in a storage medium to reduce the empty area in vain and surely acquire content data. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
