The method involves forming a thin platinum layer on a ceramic plate and having a tapered current path. A front and back metal coating are provided on a plastic strip in the path for connecting the strip to a cable and to an electronic component. At the cable end of the path, the coating is tapered. At the other end the coating or path is split into two isolated parts. After forming the coating, the electronic component is arranged over the split path so that one contact of the component is connected to each path. A connector cable is then connected to the other end of the strip.
