METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ADAPTIVE ALLOCATION OF FEEDBACK RESOURCES FOR CQI AND TRANSMIT PRE-CODING

A method and a system for adaptively allocating feedback resources with respect to a CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) and transmission precoding are provided to obtain high performance gain by providing channel state information to a transmitter. Channel measurement is obtained as a basis for estimating desirous parameters(504). Channel measurements are processed to estimate one or more parameters desirous to adjust CQI/PMI(Pre-coding Matrix Index) report units(506). The CQI/PMI report units are adjusted at both time and frequency based on some parameters(508). An adjustment loop is re-initialized and/or terminated(510).
