PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by allowing an outer lid to open/close smoothly in a state that pressure is not added to an inside an inner pot and by preventing the outer lid from opening in a state that the pressure is added to the inside the inner pot and the outer lid is pressed upward. SOLUTION: In the rice cooker having a hinge part 12 for holding the outer lid 3 to a main body 1 so that it can freely open/close, a hook 10 provided for the outer lid 3 on the opposite side of the hinge part 12, and a hook reception part 14 provided at an upper frame 11 of the main body 1, a hook reception inclined part 15 inclined downward is provided at least at a tip part of the hook reception part 14, a hook inclined part 16 inclined upward is provided at a tip engaging part of the hook 10, and a release spring 18 is interposed between the hook reception inclined part 15 and the hook inclined part 16 so that it is almost in a horizontal state.
