PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, vulcanizable without using stearic acid and zinc white, friendly to the environment and meeting the future exhaustion of petroleum resource. SOLUTION: The vulcanizable rubber composition free from a vulcanization accelerator and zinc white contains 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber, 20-120 pts.wt. of silica and, based on 100 pts.wt. of silica, 1-20 pts.wt. of a silane coupling agent, 1-20 pts.wt. of an amino acid, 0.5-6 pts.wt. of sodium thiosulfate and 0.5-8 pts.wt. of sulfur.
