PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component that is useful for improving disorder of skin color that suppresses the dendrite growth of melanocyte, by this action, the melanin production inhibiting agent caused by normal tyrosinase is not effective or exhibits not very effective. SOLUTION: In the method for producing melanocyte dendrite growth-suppressing agent, plant body of Achillea sp. of Compositae is extracted with 10 to 70% aqueous ethanol solution and the extract is fractionally purified by passing through DIAION (R)HP-20 column to collect the essence. Then, normal human melanocyte is cultured in a proliferation additive-including base culture medium in the presence or absence of the Achillea sp. plant essence to select the essence of which the growth of the melanocyte dendrite is restrained in comparison with that under non-essence condition, as the melanocyte dendrite growth inhibitor.
