PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-based skin care preparation for external use having excellent blocking properties and moisture retainability and high formulation stability, and capable of being applied with sufficient water familiarity without dripping and remaining on the skin without easily dropping out when applied to the wet skin. SOLUTION: The skin care preparation for external use used for applying to the wet skin is essentially anhydrous and comprises (A) one or more kinds of oils which are liquid at 25°C, selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbons, ester oils and plant oils, 5-20 wt.% (B) Vaseline, 0.1-5 wt.% (C) aliphatic alcohol and 0.5-5 wt.% (D) polyethylene.
