ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily handleable antimicrobial composition with low hazardness to a human body, an animal or a plant. SOLUTION: The antimicrobial composition comprises water, metal nano-particles having antimicrobial actions, nano-particles of a calcium phosphate-based compound and a binder for binding the metal nano-particles to the nano-particles of the calcium phosphate-based compound. The antimicrobial composition comprises Pt nano-particles and/or Ag nano-particles as the metal nano-particles and a water-soluble compound having an amino group and a carboxy group and/or a water-soluble compound having a -HNC=O group as the binder and has the low hazardness because the calcium phosphate-based compound having high biocompatibility is contained. The metal nano-particles are bound through the binder to the calcium phosphate-based compound in the antimicrobial composition and the metal nano-particles contact microbes captured with the calcium phosphate-based compound to exhibit the antimicrobial actions.
