A difficulty with conventional liquid storage container is to reduce the possibility of liquid leakage. A liquid storage container has: a storage section (181) capable of storing liquid; a liquid pouring section open to the storage section (181) and capable of pouring the liquid into the storage section (181); a second atmosphere chamber (186) connecting to the atmosphere; an atmosphere introduction section connecting to the second atmosphere chamber (186) and capable of introducing the atmosphere into the second atmosphere chamber (186); and a second communication passage (187) for connecting the storage section (181) and the second atmosphere chamber (186). The liquid storage container is characterized in that, when the liquid storage container is in a position in which an opening (128), which is the intersection section between an ink pouring section (101) and the storage section (181), is directed upward in the direction which intersects the horizontal direction, a communication opening (107), which is an example of a connection opening for connecting the storage section (181) and the second communication passage (187), is located above the opening (128). |
