PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for direct functionalization of a cyclopolyarylene compound, where a functional group can be introduced into theoretically all cyclopolyarylene compounds because applications to any cyclopolyarylene compound can be expected if the method of direct functionalization of the cyclopolyarylene compound is developed.SOLUTION: There is provided a cyclopolyarylene metal complex where a metal tricarbonyl is coordinated to a benzene ring having a cyclopolyarylene compound. The cyclopolyarylene metal complex is obtained by a manufacturing method with a process of reacting the cyclopolyarylene compound and a metal compound represented by M(CO)Y, where M is a metal atom, Y is same or different and each a ligand and m is an integer of 1 to 3.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
