PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device with a conveyance guide for assisting a sheet in traveling, capable of reducing image defects caused by the springing of a rearmost portion of the sheet, toward a pressure roller.SOLUTION: The fixing device for pressurizing and heating a sheet having a toner image, depositing fused toner on the sheet, and fixing the toner image includes: a heating member 31 having a heating element at the interior; a pressure member 32 with an elastic layer, pressed against the heating member, for forming a fixing nip portion N between the pressure member and the heating member; and a conveyance guide 40 located upstream of the fixing nip portion N, on a conveyance route of the sheet having the toner image, for assisting the sheet in traveling. The conveyance guide 40 includes: a first guide portion for guiding the head of the sheet to a tip position A near the heating member; and a second guide portion for guiding the rearmost portion of the sheet from the tip position A at least to an intermediate position C being closer to neither the heating member nor the pressure member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
