PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece equipped with functions to receive satellite signals and to measure time and capable of being improved in handling ease, and a control method for electronic timepieces.SOLUTION: An electronic timepiece 10 is equipped with a receiver device 121 that receives a satellite signal; a reception control unit 311 that executes reception processing by causing the receiver device 121 to work; a chronograph unit 312 that executes measurement processing; an input device 160; a detecting device 170 that detects any chronograph executing operation on the input device 160 and outputs a measurement operation signal when it detects the chronograph executing operation; a pointer used for both indication of information regarding reception processing and indication of measurement time; and an action control unit 313 that, when the measurement operation signal is inputted during the execution of reception processing, causes the chronograph unit 312 to act in addition to the reception control unit 311 in action, and so controls the action of the pointer indicating the information regarding reception processing to have the measurement time indicated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
