<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly detect the CO concentration in an exhaust gas by preventing the accumulation of condensed water at the introducing part of the exhaust gas and the periphery of a CO sensor, caused by steam in an offgas. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen generator 1 is provided with the CO sensor 36 for detecting the CO concentration in the exhaust gas 34 of a heating burner 5 of the hydrogen generator 1, a sensor cap 37 which is arranged around the CO sensor 36 when the CO sensor 36 is faced to an exhaust duct 35 and whose tip end is projected into the exhaust duct 35, and a plurality of through-holes 38 provided in the sensor cap 37. Thereby, even when moisture formed by the combustion of the offgas 7 is contained in a large amount in the exhaust gas 34, the exhaust gas 34 flows into the sensor cap 37 through the through-holes 38 provided in the sensor cap 37, and clogging of the through-holes 38 by the condensed water does not occur, and further, the detection failure of the CO concentration by the CO sensor 36 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
