The invention relates to an emergency reporting device in a motor vehicle (K) for the manual and/or automatic reporting of an emergency to a report center, wherein, for communication with a report center, at least one hands-free communications device comprising at least one microphone (3) and at least one loudspeaker (7) can be used. According to the invention the at least one microphone (3) is arranged in a first plane (E1) and the at least one loudspeaker (7) is arranged separately from the microphone (3) in a second plane (E2). The second plane (E2) is located behind the first plane (E1) in a conventional direction of travel (F) of the motor vehicle (K). Furthermore, the at least one microphone has at least one region (I) of higher or highest input sensitivity and at least one region (II) of lower or lowest input sensitivity. The microphone (3) is facing the second plane (E2) with the region (II) of lower or lowest input sensitivity. By means of such an arrangement, good acoustic decoupling between microphone (3) and loudspeaker (7) can be implemented, and good acoustic characteristics of the emergency reporting device can be achieved. |
