PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter discharge device for an elevator door sill groove capable of reducing the occurrence frequency of failures of an elevator door by discharging foreign matters without the foreign matters falling to sill grooves in an elevator door of a right-and-left double sliding type.SOLUTION: In a foreign matter discharge device 60 for an elevator door sill groove, a sill groove is divided into a right side sill groove 52 and a left side sill groove 54 corresponding to right and left doors 22, 24. Discharge belt units 61, 62 are provided in the sill grooves 52, 54, respectively. Each of the discharge belt units 61, 62 comprises a discharge belt which is laid between return rollers so as to cover a position lower than a top face of the sill of the sill grooves, has an opening for inserting each door shoe into the sill groove, and reciprocates with respect to the sill grooves 52, 54 while being interlocked with the right and left doors 22, 24 to discharge foreign matters to the outside of the sill grooves 52, 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
