<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set whether an image forming apparatus is allowed to be used and also limit various functions, user by user, uniformly from any MFP in an office as to data transmission of a Send function of a shared MFP whose security is not sufficient. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a read means of reading an image by a scanner, a data output means of outputting the read image, a data transmitting means of transmitting the outputted data, a transmission destination selecting means capable of selecting a transmission destination, a use permission determining means of determining the use permission of the data transmitting means, a use limitation content determining means of determining use limitation contents of the data transmitting means, an input means capable of inputting a user ID and a password, a collating means of collating a user ID and a password while use permission and use limitation information prescribing contents of the use permission determining means and the use limitation content determining means is saved in a server and the user IDs and the passwords are made to uniquely correspond to each other, and a use permission and use limitation means of performing use permission and use limitation based upon the contents of use permission and use limitation collated by the collating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
