PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and an operation, etc., by converting the coding format of a protocol element judged as an indeterminate length format by a judging means to a short format or long format based on the contents length of the element. CONSTITUTION:A conversion means 13 finds the length of contents first when the protocol element is added from the judging means 12. Next, it is judged whether or not the length of the contents exceeds 128 octets and when it is judged that it exceeds 128 octets, the format of the protocol element delivered from the judging means 12 is converted to the long format, and delivered to an output means 14, and when it is judged that it is less than 128 octets, the format of the protocol element is converted to the short format, and, delivered to the output means 14. The output means 14 outputs the protocol element delivered from the conversion means 13 or that delivered from the judging means 12 to an electronic mail processing system 3. |
