PURPOSE:To select a density expression optimum to printing of a photograph or a graphics or the like by down-loading the algorithm of density expression externally. CONSTITUTION:A RAM 24b receives and stores plural multi-valued picture element patterns relating to each density data externally via a down-load I/F 5, an external switch 4 decides a recording pattern to be finally recorded from the stored multi-valued picture element pattern and a printer engine section 3 implements the recording processing based on the decided recording pattern. |
