PURPOSE: To effectively prevent forgery of magnetic cards by making memory pattern that crosses the direction entering the card reader/writer on the surface of magnetic layer of magnetic card. CONSTITUTION: Magnetic layer 2 with magnetic material made unoriented has been formed on the whole surface of card substrate 1, magnetic card A provided with arc-shaped memory pattern 3 on surface of this magnetic layer 2 is advanced into card reader/writer in the direction of arrow C and made stopped by contacts 4 attached to its front end. Playback of memory is performed through motion of magnetic head 6 stuck at the tip of arm 5 in the direction of arrow D by rotating about fulcrum 7 along the arc-shaped memory pattern 3 of the magnetic card A. Here, the arc-shaped memory pattern 3 is formed by initially recording on the magnetic layer 2 with magnetic material made unoriented that has been formed on the whole surface of the card substrate 1 by means of the magnetic head 6 stuck at the tip of the arm 5 in the direction of the arrow D. Accordingly, forged magnetic card is easily detected and forgery of magnetic card is effectively prevented. |
