<p>PURPOSE:To provide a flexible tube completely eliminating straight tube parts and without impairing flexibility by forming a swelling part being at end parts with a larger diameter than at other swelling parts in flexible tubes provided with many annular swelled parts, successively. CONSTITUTION:On the circumferential surface of a flexible tube main body 1 made of a thin stainless steel, many annular swelling parts 2 are provided successively by a tube expansion method. A flange 3 provided at both ends of the tube main body 1 is formed with a larger diameter than the swelling part 2. The flange 3 is formed, after the valley part between the wo swelling parts being at the end side of the swelling parts 2 is pressed in the outward direction A from inside to form circular arcuate swellig parts 5, by crashing the swelling parts 5 for the adhesion of the inside wall in the axial direction B by press working. Consequently, since no straight tube part exists, the flexibility is not impaired, and the damping property is improved; since the contact area for packing is secured, a satisfactory sealing property is obtained.</p> |
