PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recognizing accuracy of a surface mounting machine for such objects as the parts, etc. SOLUTION: A surface mounting machine is constituted so that the machine can pick up parts P with a nozzle member 20 by suction and can pick up the image of the parts P with an image pickup unit 22. The unit 22 is constituted of a parts recognizing camera 23, a light emitting means 24, and a lens body 25. The light emitting manes 24 is constituted by forming a through hole 29 through a substrate 27 and arranging many LEDs 28 in a plane around the hole 29. The lens body 25 is provided with a first lens section 31 which has a through hole 33 and constitutes the central part of the body 25 and a second lens section 32 surrounding the section 31 and the semispherical surface of the parts P held at an image picking-up position is irradiated with light from various directions by changing the optical path of the light emitting means 24 by means of the lens sections 31 and 32. While the parts P are irradiated with the light, the camera 23 picks up the image of the parts P through the through holes 29 and 33. |
