<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a jamming reception state of a wireless slave unit or a wireless master unit in a wireless communication system arranged such that the wireless slave unit transmits meter inspection data in response to calling from the wireless master unit during intermittent receiving operation, and the wireless slave unit transmits the received meter inspection data to a center unit. <P>SOLUTION: When jamming is received, the wireless slave unit transmits jamming reception state data (receiving channel, jamming radio field intensity, and the like) to a center unit through the wireless master unit (step S14, S21). When jamming reception state data is received, the center unit selects an appropriate processing depending on the jamming reception state (step S22) and instructs the wireless slave unit to execute that processing through the wireless master unit (step S23, S24).
