PURPOSE: A system and a method for automatically updating a shopping mall are provided to reduce the time and the cost for constructing and maintaining a product database, and to upgrade product data by selecting location of product to post only. CONSTITUTION: A product database updating server(101) is connected to a web server(107), and coupled to a unified messaging system(UMS) server(109) and a payment system(111) via a network(121). The web server(107) is connected to a computer(117) for a shopping mall manager(113) and a computer(119) for a visitor(115). A barrier(105) is installed between the computers(117,119). The server(101), connected to a product related database(123a) and a shopping mall related database(125a), includes a product database updating module. The web server(107) is connected to a computer(129) of the manager(113) and a computer(131) of a database manager(135) via a network(127). The server(107) offers the screens for inputting shopping mall information and registering a common product and the product in a catalog.
