<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking aid pole capable of being improved in durability and prevented from damage with avoiding excessive force to the internal threaded portions and the pressure bonding portion of a joint plug. <P>SOLUTION: Small-diameter side pipe shafts 6 and 8 are slidably inserted into large-diameter side pipe shafts 4 and 6, respectively. The small-diameter side pipe shafts have threaded members 20 having tapered surfaces 20a and extending into the large-diameter side pipe shafts at one ends thereof, and the threaded members are engaged with joint plugs 18, which are softly press-fitted into the large-diameter side pipe shafts in slide contact with the inner peripheral surfaces of the same. The joint plugs 18 have a plurality of split grooves 18c to be expandable/shrinkable at one ends thereof. The large- and small-diameter side pipe shafts are integrally fixed or released to or from each other by relatively turning them to press-fit or release the tapered surfaces of the threaded members to or from one ends of the joint plugs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
