PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet carrying device capable of performing a stable sheet carrying over a long period with a simple structure without troubling a user. SOLUTION: This device comprises a carrying means for carrying a sheet on a carrying passage, a detecting means for detecting the sheet on the carrying passage, and a control means for controlling the carrying means so that the carrying speed of the sheet carried on the basis of the detection timing by the detecting means is constant.
