The cylinder head includes valve (2,3) shaft (4) guides (5) and has valve seats (8) on the side facing the cylinders. On the opposite side the cylinder has an assembly surface (11.1,11.2) for optional individual valve actuators or alternatively for camshafts to operate the valves. The surface extends right along the head (1) and is edged (13) all round. Adapters are to fit the actuators or camshafts, using identical holes for actuator and camshaft assembly.
