The electromechanical energy converter or shell machine has an optional number of generally concentric, stationary parts and an optional number of generally concentric movable parts or shells whose revolution rates can be different from each other. The machine can have one stator and two rotors or one rotor and two stators. Independent claims are also included for the following: a dual stator machine and a dual rotor machine.
