The adsorption dryer, for a gas medium, has an adsorbent bed (14) containing a granular adsorbent (26) within a housing (10). The adsorbent bed is retained by inner heat-conductive ribs (20), in heat-transfer contact with the thermal conductive container (12) holding the adsorbent material, to take off heat when the heated material is regenerated in a back cooling action. Preferred Features: The heat conductive container has a profiled structure, preferably as an extruded profile.
