CARBON BLACK COMPOSITION AND OFFSET PRINTING INK USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon black composition that can attain the ink of high quality that has been achieved only by the carbon black with a pH of 3.0-3.5 that has been used conventionally in the offset carbon black ink with a low level of the carbon black having a pH of 7.0-8.0 or the carbon black for tires, simultaneously as the productivity of the ink is increased. SOLUTION: A resin for printing ink that is solid at room temperature is added to the carbon black with a pH of 7.0-8.0 in an amount of 1-100 wt.% based on the carbon black and the mixture is subjected to dry milling at 80-200 deg.C, then the resultant milled product is added to a mixture of a solvent for printing ink and varnish and processed whereby the objective carbon black composition is produced.
