METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY UPDATING SMART CARD BY MAKING CARD TERMINAL EXTRACT UPDATE START INFORMATION FROM SMART CARD

PURPOSE: A method and a system for automatically updating a smart card are provided to automatically update the latest smart card stored information matched with update start information received from a server by making a card terminal extract the update start information from the smart card and determine automatic update and/or obtain an automatic update authority based on the extracted update start information. CONSTITUTION: The smart card(270) is equipped with a storing medium for storing/managing the update start information for automatically updating information stored in the smart card. The card terminal(200) processes the update of the information stored in the smart card based on the update start information included in the storing medium. A server(265) provides the updated information to the card terminal. The card terminal is equipped with a controller, a card interface, a memory, and a communication processor including a network communication module and an external communication module.
