SUBSTRATE APPARATUS AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display apparatus easily manufactured and hardly broken. SOLUTION: A breakage preventing material 21 such as an epoxy resin and a UV curing resin is applied on stress concentration points A of both side edges 7 in a wiring region 17 of a glass substrate 4 of a liquid crystal cell 1. The stress concentration points A of the liquid crystal cell 1 are covered with the breakage preventing material 21 to be reinforced. Stress acting by an impact to a point C of application of a lower end edge 8 of the liquid crystal cell 1 can be relaxed by the breakage preventing material 21. Stress does not concentrate in the stress concentration points A of the liquid crystal cell 1. The liquid crystal cell 1 is hardly broken from the stress concentration points A. Breakage starting from the boundary between the glass substrate 4 and a glass substrate 12 of the liquid crystal cell 1 is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
