<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sudden falling of an opening-closing body when discriminating abnormality of an opening assisting force generating means. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic clutch is arranged between an electric motor for driving opening-closing of a tail gate and the tail gate, and a gas stay for energizing the tail gate in the opening direction is installed between the tail gate and a car body. When the tail gate is automatically opened up to a clutch cutoff position just before a full opening position, fastening force of the electromagnetic clutch is gradually reduced, and when the tail gate moves in the opening direction when reducing the fastening force of the electromagnetic clutch, the electromagnetic clutch is switched to a cutoff state. While, when the tail gate does not move in the opening direction, a determination is made on whether or not the tail gate moves in the closing direction, and when determining that the tail gate does not move even in the closing direction, the electromagnetic clutch is switched to the cutoff state, and when detecting the movement in the closing direction, the electromagnetic clutch is switched to a connecting state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
