PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting apparatus attaining improvement in construction work efficiency, easiness in handling members, reduction in production cost, and the like, and designed so as to be safely and reliably fixed even to a slanted surface such as a pitched roof. SOLUTION: The planting apparatus for plants is installed on a rooftop, a roof or the like of a building, and includes a water-supplying/draining base retaining and draining rainwater permeating from above or irrigation water via other means, supplying the retained water to the root parts of the plants and holding laminated soil, a plurality of engagement parts fixed to the foundation surface of the rooftop, the roof or the like and passing through the water-supplying/draining base in order to latch the water-supplying/draining base, and a connecting belt installed between the respective engagement parts.
