PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recovering coating machine cleaning liquid capable of cleaning a liquid coating material transportation path of a coating machine and efficiently recovering the cleaning liquid ejected from a coating material ejection opening of the coating machine, where is the end of the coating material transportation path. SOLUTION: The device for recovering coating machine cleaning liquid has a recovery device 100 for cleaning the liquid coating material transportation path of the coating machine 1 and after that, recovering the cleaning liquid ejected from the coating material ejection opening 50a formed in a body 50 of the coating machine 1. The recovering device 100 has a cushioning section 110 and a liquid recovery section 120. The cushioning section 110 has a filter placed at a position facing the body 50 arranged at a position where cleaning liquid ejection is performed and receiving by means of the filter the cleaning liquid ejected from the coating material ejecting opening 50a to cushion the flow of the cleaning liquid. The liquid recovery section 120 faces the body 50, which is placed at the position where cleaning liquid ejection is performed, and has a container 121 located at a position on the opposite side of the body 50 across the cushioning section 110.
