PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester for nipping and extractively conveying by a relevant conveyor rhizome crops or root crops planted in a field covered with a film sheet, which is designed to eliminate the drawbacks of the film sheet wound on the conveyor and eliminate remaining film sheet cut by a sheet cutter. SOLUTION: The harvester has the following construction: A sheet cutter 20 is provided behind of the initial end of an extractive conveyor 6 in the direction of the machine body so as to cut a film sheet F in the traveling direction of the machine body as the machine body travels forward, and a film sheet-embedding element 21 situated on the unharvested crop side of the sheet cutter 20 is provided to continuously embed underground the crop-unharvested-side end of the film sheet F cut as the machine body travels forward. Thereby, the film sheet F is prevented from getting turned up due to wind, leading to ensuring a film sheet press member to act and putting the film sheet F in a stretched condition, thus ensuring cutting operation of the sheet cutter 20.
