PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding step in which switch operation between a standing state and a folding state can be easily performed.SOLUTION: In a folding step 1, a pair of leg parts 3, 3 for supporting a step board 2 can be rotated from a standing position to a folding position along an undersurface 2b of the step board 2. The folding step comprises: torsion coil springs 9 which are provided in the pair of leg parts 3, 3 respectively, energize the leg parts 3 in a direction of the folding position when the leg parts 3 are at the standing position, and energize the leg parts 3 in a direction of the standing position when the leg parts 3 are at the folding position; lock mechanisms 11 which are provided in the pair of leg parts 3, 3 respectively, hold the leg parts 3 at the standing position when the leg parts 3 are at the standing position, and hold the leg parts 3 at the folding position when the leg parts 3 are at the folding position; and lock release mechanisms (carriages 16 and the like) for releasing the lock of the leg parts by the lock mechanisms 11, 11 according to an operation input.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
