Disclosed is an apparatus for processing an infrared (IR) image according to the present invention, which blinds a region corresponding to an unnecessary geographical feature, thereby enabling selective image processing. The apparatus for processing IR image according to the present invention comprises: an image information acquisition unit which acquires an IR image; a location information acquisition unit which acquires current location information at a time at which the IR image is acquired; a geographic information analysis unit which searches for geographic information by using the acquired location information and detects a region corresponding to a preset condition from found geographic information; and an image information processing unit which shades a portion corresponding to the region in the IR image. |
