1. A sensor device comprising:
an irradiation unit to irradiate an object with light, the irradiation unit including a light source that emits the light; an optical detection unit disposed on an optical path of light emitted from the irradiation unit and reflected at the object; at least one object sensor configured to detect a presence of the object; a case that houses at least the irradiation unit and that is provided with an opening to pass the light emitted from the irradiation unit; a pressing mechanism that presses the object against the opening; and a controller configured to control the light source based on output from the object sensor.
