The present invention relates to a method for controlling a refrigerator. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling a refrigerator comprises: a step of enabling power of a refrigerator to be turned on and driving a compressor; a step of setting a preset power consumption element as a reference value; a step of measuring consumed power within a set period in an operation process of the refrigerator; a step of recognizing whether or not the measured consumed power is smaller than the previously consumed power; and a step of changing the value of the power consumption element when the measured consumed power is larger than the previously consumed power. |
