<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording paper which exerts high printing density and high ink absorbency, and does not cause strike-through, even if printing is done by either of dye-type and pigment-type inkjet printers. <P>SOLUTION: In this inkjet recording paper, at least one inkjet absorbing layer containing a pigment and a binder is provided on at least one side of base paper which is mainly composed of pulp and a filler. The filler has a mean particle diameter of 1.6 μm or more and an oil absorption of 90-200 ml/100 g, and mainly contains Rosetta-type precipitated calcium carbonate. The ash content, based on JIS-P8251, of the base paper is in the range of 15-40%. Preferably, the pigment contained in the ink absorbing layer is synthetic silica with an oil absorption of 90-200 ml/100 g, a BET specific surface area of 45-200 m<SP>2</SP>/g and a mean particle diameter of 1.0-3.0 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
