<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently refining molten steel using an RH vacuum degassing apparatus by which slag amount can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the refining method performing vacuum degassing treatment to the molten steel by using the RH vacuum degassing apparatus, a molten steel depth D (m) in a ladle, a gas blowing depth H (m) from the molten steel surface, the inner diameter R (m) of the ladle, a distance (r) meter between the gas blowing position and the ladle center in a radial direction of the ladle and gas flow rate Q (m3(normal state)/min), satisfy the following inequalities (1), (2), (3). 0.07<=H/D<=0.50...(1), 0.35<=r/R<=0.90...(2) and 0.01<=Q/H<=0.80...(3).</p> |
