<p>In a process for recovering image tube phosphor from phosphor slurry, the slurry is first subjected to a steam treatment to dissolve substances adhering to the surface of the phosphor particles. The phosphor is then repeatedly washed. A phosphor suspension is obtained by wet sieving and this can be processed further in exactly the same way as a suspension of virgin phosphor. …<??>The process mentioned does not involve any drying or baking procedure.
