The invention relates to an automobile body or a component of an automobile body comprising at least one first sheet metal component consisting of a first aluminium alloy (A) and at least one second sheet metal component consisting of a second aluminium alloy (B). According to the invention, the first and the second aluminium alloy are of the AlMgSi type and the sheet metal consisting of the second aluminium alloy (B) comprises a significant fraction of the elements Mg and Si that are required to obtain thermal hardening in a solid solution, in the form of deposited Mg2Si and/or Si particles, in order to prevent thermal hardening prior to the thermal hardening of the body or body components. In addition to enabling the common recycling of process scrap metal during the production of the different components and the simple scrap metal recycling of body parts in old cars, the inventive automobile body provides improved impact protection for pedestrians, in comparison to solutions in prior art, by reducing the hardening capacity of the second components during the thermal hardening of the body that occurs in a paint baking cycle. |
