PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video system capable of setting the power of a channel selecting device into on state if it is in off-state by observing that a video signal is transmitted when the power of the channel selecting device is in n-state, and judging that its power is in off-state when any video signal is not transmitted from the channel selecting device. SOLUTION: It is applied to the video system connected to a channel selecting device 11 in which when a remote signal 121 shows a power control code, if the remote signal 121 is received, the on/off state of the power is switched. A video output detecting part 15, when a video signal is transmitted from the channel selecting device 11, for outputting an output detecting signal is provided. Then, if the output detecting signal is not transmitted from the video output detecting part 15, the remote signal 121 showing the power control code is transmitted to the channel selecting device 11 using an adapter 12. |
