PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the heat developable photosensitive material superior in image storage stability, even if it is exposed to light and heat, by incorporating a reducible silver salt, a reducing agent, a binder, and at least one kind of specified compound. SOLUTION: This heat developable photographic material contains the reducible silver salt, the reducing agent, the binder, and at least one of compounds represented by the formula in which R is a straight or branched or cyclic 1-30 C, preferably, 1-20 C, further, 1-12 C, furthernore, 1-8 C alkyl group; and X is an H atom or a substituent, preferably, an H atom or an alkyl or aryl group or a halogen atom, further, an H atom or an alkyl or aryl group, furthermore, an H atom or an alkyl group. It is preferred to add this compound of the formula in an amount of 1×10<-4> -1 mol., further, 1×10<-3> -0.3 mol per 1 mol. of silver.
