Use of potato skins as starting material, instead of starch, in production of biodegradable moulded articles. Process comprises subjecting potato skins, preferably in presence of plasticiser, e.g., polyol or urea, to thermo-mechanical treatment, preferably comprising extrusion, followed by shaping, preferably carried out in presence of blowing agent such as steam or carbon dioxide. An Independent claim is also included for the moulding made of potato skin.
