PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite magnet powder, which has a sufficient residual magnetic flux density and a sufficient coercive force, with the coercive force having a superior temperature characteristics and which hardly deteriorates, even particularly, at a low-temperature range, a sintered ferrite magnet, a bonded magnet, a magnetic recording medium, and a motor which capable of obtaining adequate efficiency and torque over a wide range of temperature. SOLUTION: A hexagonal magnetoplumbite type ferrite containing 1-13 at.% A (one or more kinds of elements selected from among Sr, Ba, Ca, and Pb), 0.02-5 at.% R (one or more kinds of elements selected from among rare-earth elements, including Y and necessarily containing Ce), 80-95 at.% Fe, and 0.1-5 at.% M (Co or Co and Zn), when the constituent ratios of the total metallic elements with respect to the amount of all the metallic elements as indicated above is utilized. |
