PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of surface fog in a heat developing system free from trouble due to the use of a conventional developer, to maintain the long-term preservability and to improve the light shielding property by using a specified compd. as a coupling component in a recording layer. SOLUTION: When the top of a substrate is coated with a recording layer contg. a diazo compd. and a coupling component as constituents to obtain a diazo copying material, a compd. represented by the formula is used as the coupling component. In the formula, X is cyano, acetyl, benzoyl or -COOR<1> , R<1> is an alkyl or benzyl and (n) is an integer of 2-12. In order to enable heat development while maintaining long-term preservability, a two-layered structure consisting of a photosensitive layer contg. the diazo compd. and a coupler layer contg. the coupling component may be provided and coupler particles may be coated with a resin capable of forming a film. |
